Not every load fits into standard dimensions. As a specialist in special transport with oversized dimensions, we at Fluckinger develop customised solutions for every challenge. Our innovative special trailers, many of which we have developed ourselves, make it possible to transport even particularly wide, high or sensitive goods safely and efficiently.
Thanks to decades of experience and state-of-the-art equipment, we realise special transports for construction machinery, agricultural machinery, steel constructions, prototypes, lifting technology and complex industrial plants throughout Europe. Our locations in Tyrol and Sweden, combined with our high level of innovation, make us a strong partner for your most demanding transports.
Fluckinger Transport began developing its own trailers back in the 1990s to transport construction machinery quickly and safely under tarpaulin to its destination. The adaptation of a semi-trailer with lockable wheel recesses, a fixed tarpaulin frame and ramps formed the foundation for modern construction machinery transport.
Modern agricultural machinery is high-tech equipment that increasingly requires protected transport under a tarpaulin. Thanks to our specially developed semi-trailers, we can transport agricultural machinery of various dimensions under cover.
The steel industry places special demands on transport due to its often oversized goods. Partners and customers benefit from our comprehensive expertise in steel transport. With a versatile trailer fleet, the optimum solution can be found for every product.
Do you have a prototype or a new development that requires absolute discretion? We guarantee absolute confidentiality and security with our closed transport. In addition, Fluckinger Transport has been characterised for many years by punctual delivery for time-sensitive projects.
Lifting equipment such as telescopic handlers, forklifts and sideloaders or scissor lifts require special transport solutions due to their sometimes low ground clearance and special dimensions. Our low-bed trailers with removable neck and special ramps enable direct delivery to the destination at ground level - without the need for additional equipment for loading and unloading.
Fluckinger Transport is your specialist when it comes to transporting valuable precision machines and highly sensitive machining centres. We not only ensure on-time delivery, but also guarantee absolute cleanliness and optimum protection against environmental influences thanks to our enclosed transport. From loading onto our special trailers to handover at your destination, you know that your valuable freight is in the best hands with Fluckinger Transport.

Transport handling
Authorisation requirements are time-consuming. To avoid this in advance, we have developed special trailers with various troughs.
These trailers are available with a step (gooseneck) but also with a straight loading area. What all versions have in common are the troughs in the loading area. The troughs can have different lengths and be positioned in different places in the trailer. The main purpose of these troughs is to prevent the trailer from being too high when transporting tall machines. In concrete terms, this means that if the machine is 3.20 m high, for example, this would lead to an excess height (over 4 m) during transport as the internal height of the trailer is not sufficient. This would mean that the transport would again be subject to authorisation. However, if this machine is loaded with the tyres in the skips, the height for transport can be reduced and the permit requirement can be avoided.
We have an individually flexible range of different low-bed trailers to meet the different needs of our customers. These low-bed trailer types are characterised by a sometimes phenomenal internal height, which allows flexible loading of goods of different heights and thus enables the transport of machines as well as various systems (e.g. CNC milling machines, etc.).
With special units, it is possible to completely uncouple the front section from the rear section and thus implement almost ground-level loading. This is particularly necessary when machines / vehicles have very low ground clearance. Furthermore, these low-bed trailers are designed and specially reinforced to be able to carry heavier loads. In addition, our fleet also has "growing" units which telescope (extend) the loading area and can therefore also accommodate extra-long goods.
These trailers are characterised by a continuous, straight loading area and an internal trailer height of 3 m with a standard overall vehicle height of the legally permitted 4 m. For comparison: (standard lorry interior height 2.70 m). Thanks to smaller tyre dimensions, the loading area starts at a lower height. The average loading edge (height of the loading area) is 80 cm. These trailers therefore do not have a regular height for ramp loading (fixed loading ramps / docks). Megatrailers can also be trough trailers in our fleet.
These are trailers that are designed to transport wide (steel) plates diagonally in the trailer. This saves you the need for authorisation and/or escort protection. Widths of up to 3.5 m are lifted diagonally using special hydraulic rams, making your consignment economical and simple.
Are mainly used in our domestic transport operations in Sweden and serve Volvo, among others. Thanks to their unique design and the resulting dimensions, these vehicles can transport several, even large machines in a single journey. These are open trailers, i.e. trailers without a tarpaulin superstructure, which means that there is more room for manoeuvre when it comes to the height of the goods. For example, two dumpers can be loaded onto the trailer here, whereas the previously known standard can only load one dumper.
The Edscha roof is a sliding roof that can be pushed forwards like an accordion. By sliding the roof forwards, the rear of the portal is no longer fixed or restricted by rods. This allows us to widen the gantry (see next point) and also enables unhindered crane loading
The gantry at the end of the trailer can be opened from 2.5 m to 4.5 m when the roof is extended. This allows us to achieve unhindered and efficient (fast) loading of goods wider than 2.5 metres without them coming into contact with the uprights of the gantry. It also facilitates crane loading, as the risk of damage is reduced.
Coming Soon. Work in progress.
What reads like an unfinished website here is the status of our mobility circle for the environment. We are currently testing the range, tractive power and economy of the e-generation of towing vehicles. And we will be finalising our test series in parallel with the next storage innovation.
